I also as a courtesy dust out and remove any dirt build-up and debris from fans, vents, and keyboards on all computers and devices before they are returned to the customer.
Tablets are amazing pieces of technology. They're sleek, productive, and fun; unfortunately they don't withstand being dropped very well. Android tablets come in many different varieties and sizes; for the most part I can fix most Android tablets Distro's, but many lower end tablets do not have replacement parts available for them and are unfixable. The more popular brands such as the Google Nexus, Samsung Galaxy, Asus, etc... have many suppliers of parts and can be easily fixed. Below is a list of repairs I provide for Android Tablets
The most common component to break on your tablet is the glass Digitizer or LED/LCD screen. The Digitizer has a tiny grid the same size as your LED/LCD display installed into it that registers your touch. The LED/LCD display is a LED lit, Liquid Crystal Display that if the device is dropped hard enough will pop the fillament holding the Liquid Crystal in place causing bleeding, (Black spots on your screen) that spread when you touch it. Replacing the Digitizer is not a difficult fix, but depending on the device can be very expensive. ie...(Retina Display).
Although not a common problem, but sometimes if the Digizer is damaged enough it will slice or damage the delicate WiFi or Cellular attenae cables.
Your power, Vol up, Vol down, and Home buttons get alot of use and over-time start to stick or wear down and need replacing. Depending the device this can be either a quick or difficult task. I can replace these buttons no problem.
Plugging and un-plugging your device causes wear on the connectors of your charging port and over-time they can stop working causing your device to not charge or charge very slowly. I can replace or possibily clean the port to make it work properly for you again.
The charging port is not the only part of your device that can cause it to charge slowly, a fautly battery can cause the device to not hold a charge for very long and/or take many hrs to charge. Replacing the battery will fix this problem.
I have had customers bring me tablets that were ran over by a truck, thrown, dropped from the top of a building, slammed in a car door, you name it. The camera/s usually don't hold up to this very well but can be replaced no problem.
As with the Charging port the Headphone jack can start to stop working properly over time due to plugging and unplugging of your headphones or external speakers. Although their are bluetooth alternatives (Wireless) not everyone uses this feature. Your earpiece speaker, microphone, and loud speaker can become damaged (Mostly due to water damage) and make your device almost useless. I can replace this components no problem.
